Pro Tips: Visiting the Archaeological Sites
The Acropolis requires a timed-entry ticket (€30) that you should book online in advance — daily capacity is capped at 20,000 visitors. The old government combo pass was discontinued in April 2025, so each site now requires its own ticket (most are around €8–20).
Third-party vendors like GetYourGuide offer bundled multi-site passes that can save you time and money if you plan to visit several sites. And a general tip: the smaller sites like the Temple of Zeus or Kerameikos have much shorter lines than the Acropolis entrance — great for a quieter experience!
